Domestic Violence
The government defines Domestic Violence as
“Any incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between adults who are or have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality.”
If you are a victim of domestic abuse, or are at risk of being made homeless if you were to separate with your partner or you are being harassed or pestered by a partner or ‘associated’ person, then we can help you apply for protective measures available under the Family Act.
The Court has the power to grant the following orders:
-
Non-Molestation Order
-
Occupation Order
-
Order for Transfer of Tenancy
